Acclaimed star Catherine Zeta-Jones encountered criticism about her looks at an industry FYC event recently.

Females are uniting behind acclaimed star Catherine Zeta-Jones after she faced scrutiny online regarding her looks during a high-profile event.

She appeared at an industry gathering in Los Angeles recently where a TikTok interview featuring her part in the latest Wednesday was overshadowed because of remarks about her looks.

Widespread Backing

This year's Miss Great Britain Classic winner, Laura White, labelled the online criticism "absolute rubbish", noting that "men don't have this sell-by/use-by date which women face".

"Men don't have such a timeline that women do," said Laura White.

The winner attended for her interview earlier with a bare face to make a statement and to highlight there was no set "mold" of how a female of a certain age ought to appear.

Like many women of her years, she explained she "takes care of herself" not to look younger but so she feels "well" and be "healthy".

"Ageing is a privilege and if we can live as well as possible, that is what really matters," she stated further.

Ms White stated that males are not subject to equivalent beauty standards, noting "nobody scrutinizes the age of certain male celebrities are - they only look 'fantastic'."
