Mohamed Salah Extends Regret to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has disclosed that Salah said sorry to the group of players in the wake of the uproar from his public comments.

The striker was dropped from a European match following making accusations and stating his connection to the head coach had broken down.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”
Arne Slot has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the player.
Moving Forward
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” he continued.
He also implied that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “It's clear there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
On-Field Response
Their results have remained strong in the games following the initial controversy. Jones believes the Salah's words were never meant to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, it’s always been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and starting to win games.”
